Our Mona-Vie Juice Review...WOW, the MonaVie Juice is just plain Good...!!!Simply put…We loved the product. The juice is a tasty blend of fruit flavors, delivered and presented very nicely in a wine bottle. So while the price for the juice is very high, at least you feel like you’re drinking something expensive. While we can not, and furthermore refuse to, make any health claims about Mona-vie, what we can say is that we at least felt energized and noticed an increase in the overall feeling of our health while using the product. The fact that most people don’t get the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables in their diet has lead to so many health problems for our nation. It felt good to find out that there are products out there that at least provide a premium way of getting those recommended servings and these companies deserve to be commended for trying to get the word out. To this day, we are still taking the product and can notice a change in our bodies when we don’t drink the juice for extended periods of time. Maybe it’s all psychological, we don’t know. What we do know, however, is that the ingredients in the juice are generally considered good for everyone to consume, with the health benefits being generally good for everyone as well. So while our consensus is that the Mona-vie juice is a great product, we did stumble on to a few concerns. One common concern seems to be where Mona-vie buys its Acai berries. A lot of competitors in the market boast buying their berries from the Sambazon area of Brazil which, according to experts, is the place where the best acai berries grow. With Mona-vie advertising the word “premium” on their brand labeling, it raises questions of quality, and makes you wonder why they don’t purchase the best berries money can buy. It is entirely possible that it’s a pricing issue, however Mona-vie competitors that also make acai berries drinks buy their fruits from this exclusive area and the price point for their juice runs about the same if not lower then that of Mona-vie. This is just a little something for all of us to think about…those of us who are using, or are about to start using, the juice. One other growing common concern to the users of this product is the way the company imports and produces their juice. It is a know fact that the acai berry fruit does not fair well once it has been processed and has the tendency to spoil quickly if not properly preserved, either by freezing in a puree form or flash freeze-dried. The concern is with the potency of the product when using the puree form. With the puree form, the juice concentrate has more water in it, which dilutes the overall potency. Supposedly, Mona-vie uses a blend of both puree and freeze dry acai berry to make their juices. The use of this manufacturing procedure would, in fact, lower the overall quality…by way of taste, texture and the nutrition value of their juice. The product quality concerns continue with the fact that Mona-vie uses 19 other fruit extracts in combination with their Acai berry (read our “Forgotten Fruits” section of our website for more information on these and other fruits, which important to everyday health). The amount of acai juice, therefore, is lower then that of their competitors and furthermore, the total amount of acai juice used in the product is a trade secret and to the best of our knowledge has not been released. So we can’t even tell you what percentage of the juice comes from the acai berry. Despite these concerns, we feel that once again the over all health benefit of their juice well out-weighs any minor quality issues. The concern that Mona-vie uses an MLM distribution process to get its product out to the public also pales in comparison to the fact that they offer a good product. And since there is definitely multiple ways of getting their product at a discounted price without getting fully involved in their MLM program, we can not in good conscience tell you not to give them a try.
Facts are facts, and the fact that the Mona-vie product works can not be disputed. Since the company is only a few years old, a lot of the research needed to prove the health claims of Acai Berry are just now starting to come out. Once again, our whole staff loved the juice and drinks it to this day. We can only hope that the company will change its distribution model to make it affordable and easier to get. In recent months we have seen an increase in the new coverage that this product has been getting. So in all fairness to the Mona-vie product line we want to show these videos, and maybe show people that the most important thing we can do for each other is promote our health and not always be so involved in the money making part of our lives.
